BORONGAN CITY, Eastern Samar, Dec. 23 --   President Benigno S. Aquino III on Monday assured residents of Eastern Samar that the government would continue providing assistance to communities affected by Typhoon Ruby, even as it shifts from the relief phase to the recovery and rehabilitation phase. President Aquino visited Borongan, one of the areas hardest hit by the typhoon, to assess the damage in the city, as well as to check the government’s recovery and rehabilitation efforts. He also visited  Dolores, Eastern Samar.Citing the importance of preparedness, the Chief Executive took note of the government’s efforts to mitigate the impact of Typhoon Ruby, as well as the coordination between the national government and local governments in responding to the typhoon.“Sa mabuting pamamahala at maigting na paghahanda, maraming kababayan natin ang nailayo sa peligrong dulot ng bagyong Ruby.
