SAN JOSE, Antique, Mayo 18 (PIA6) - - Nangin sentro kang interes kang bag-o nga DENR Secretary ang Malandog River kang tana  magbisita sa probinsya nga kon sa diin  ana gin usisa ang kondisyon kag kalidad kang tubig sa suba, kag nagpakighinun-anon man sa mga lokal nga mga opisyales.
 
“Gusto ko lang makita ang kondisyun kang suba kon bala dya pasado sa aton nga  Clean Water Act,  hay mandate kang  DENR  ang matsekyar ang kalidad kang tubig kag tanan nga  water bodies  a bug-os nga pungsod,” pahayag ni DENR Secretary Roy A. Cimatu sa interview kang PIA.
 
Ginpabutyag ni Secretary Cimatu  nga interesado tana nga mangin malimpyu sa gihapon ang  Malandog River  bangud dya sangka maragtason (historical) hay kabahin dya kang nahauna nga pagpahamtang kang Malayan civilization sa pungsod.
 
Ang suba nagaserbe man bilang source kang pagkaon kag parangabuhian kang mga tao marapit sa amo nga lugar.
 
Nalipay man si Cimatu  nga makita nga mayad pa ang kundisyun kang suba, kag nagpromisa nga ang DENR magabulig nga himuun nga  tourist destination  sa bulig man kang mga  local governments kang San Jose kag Hamtic.
 
Gindugang pahayag ni Cimatu aka pabutyag nga  ang Western Visayas ang nahauna nga lugar nga una na nga ginbisitahan bilang bag-o nga DENR Secretary. Ang nahauna na nga ginbisitahan ang probinsya kang Iloilo kag nahapit sa Iloilo River kag nagdiretso sa Antique.
 
Sanday Mayor Elmer Untaran kang San Jose kag Vice-Mayor Julius Pacificador kang Hamtic kag iban pa nga mga opisyales lokal ang nag-welcome sa  DENR Secretary sa  Barangay Malandog.
