MANILA, Hulyo 17 (PIA6) – Ang  Department of Finance (DOF) kag ang  Budget and Management (DBM) naga plantsa na sa pagtukod sang  Philippine Tax Academy sa madason nga tuig sa  University of Makati (UMak) agud maghatag sa mga opisyales sang  revenue kag ang isa ka institusyon nga dedikado sa padayon nga pagtuon kag paghanas sa pagpaayo sang ikasarang sa pagpanukot sang buhis kag ikasangkul,

Si Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez III said nagsiling nga ang
Akta Republika 10143, nga ginpirmahan bilang laye, pito na ka tuig ang nagligad sa ika-14 nga Kongreso, nagapatigayon sang DOF sa pagtukod sang Tax Academy agud maghatag sang padayon nga paghanas kag edukasyon sa mga tinawo sang Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Customs (BOC) kag  Local Government Finance (BLGF). 

Si Dominguez nagsiling nga ang ginaproponir ni  BOC Commissioner Nicanor Faeldon sa pagtuko sang Customs Academy iga-angot sa  Philippine Tax Academy  nga magasugod sa madason nga tuig sa UMak.  

Ang iban nga mga pungsod sa Asya katulad sang Japan, China, India, Australia, Singapore kag  Malaysia  may ila man nga mga tax academy nga nagahanas sa mga opisyales sang tax kag customs kag ang mga pribado man nga mga indibidwal sa taxation kag finance assessment kag management.

Sa idalum sang  RA 10143, ang Tax Academy magahimo kag maga-implementar sang isa ka curriculum nga nagalakip sang:(a) “ technical aspects of tax collection, administration kag  compliance; kag  (b) career orientation and development for civil servants.”

Ang  Board of Trustees  nagalakip sang mga representate halin sa  DOF, BIR, BOC, BLGF kag tatlo halin sa  academe nga may lima ka tuig nga eksperyensya sa pagtudlo sa isa ka talahuron nga eskwelahan.  

Ang  Philippine Tax Academy otorisado sang laye sa pagsulod sa isa ka  kasugtanan sa consortium kag  joint venture upod sa  University of the Philippines,  pambpubliko kag pribado nga mga unibersidad, institusyon sa paghanas para sa pag-uswag kag pag-implementar sang curriculum, programa para sa orientation, career development kag padayon nga edukasyon sa pagkolekta sang buhis, audiring, pagdumala kag pagsunod.
