Barkada Kontra Droga, inilunsad sa kabisera ng Camarines Norte

DAET, Camarines Norte, Agosto 7 (PIA) –Inilunsad ng mga mag-aaral ng Moreno Integrated School (MIS) ang Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD), isang kampanya ng mga kabataan para maunawaan ng kapwa kabataan at publiko ang masamang epekto ng paggamit at pagkalulong sa bawal na gamot.

 

May temang “The Best Version of Me Is Drug Free, Let’s Run Away From Drugs,” ang kampaya ay inilunsad sa pamamagitan ng color fun run at clean-up drive na isinagawa noong Sabado, Agosto 5, sa Bagasbas Beach sa bayang ito.

 

Isang panayam na may titulong “Timely Activities for Redirection Against the Nonsense Abuse of Drugs” ang ginanap din bilang bahagi ng paglunsad sa BKD.

 

Ayon kay Jheny Villacruz, adviser ng organisasyon ng MIS, ang BKD ay unang inilunsad ngayong taon sa ilang paraalan sa iba’t ibang sulok ng Pilipinas bilang tugon sa kampanya ni Pangulong Rodrigo Roa Duterte na wakasan ang droga sa pamamagitan ng paghikayat sa mga paaralan na maturuan ang mga kabataan at palawakin ang kanilang healthy lifestyle.

 

Ipinahayag naman ni Veronica Abanto, National Drug Education Program Coordinator na layunin ng BKD ang mabigyan ng mga kapaki-pakinabang na gawain ang mga kabataan sa kanilang bakanteng oras upang maging mas produktibo at mailayo sa mga gawaing hindi makakabuti.

 

Ayon kay Villacruz at Abanto, bilang isang barkada ay nararapat na hikayatin ng kanilang mga mag-aaral ang iba pang mga kabataan na sumama sa kanilang adbokasiya na lumayo o umiwas sa ilegal na droga.

 

Hinikayat rin ng mga guro at mag aaral ang lahat na magsama-sama at patuloy na sugpuin ang pagkalulong ng mga kabataan sa droga at palaganapin ang kanilang healthy lifestyle.

 

Bukod dito ay nakatakdang isagawa ang Sports Star: Laro ng Lahi; BKD concert para sa mga mag aaral, mga guro at alumni; BKD tour at kahalagahan ng pag-iwas sa droga bilang bahagi rin ng kampanya para sa taong kasalukuyan.

 

Ang BKD  ay inilunsad upang masiguro na hindi na maaakit na gumamit ng bawal na gamot ang mga kabataan nang sa gayon ay hindi na madagdagan pa ang bilang ng drug users sa Pilipinas. (ROV/PIA5-Camarines Norte)
