Tuberculosis Task Force, binuo sa Camarines Norte

DAET, Camarines Norte, Agosto 7 (PIA)—Sa pagsisikap na maligtas sa sakit na TB o tuberculosis ang mamamayan sa Camarines Norte, pinaigting ng pamahalaang panlalawigan at Department of Health ang pinag-isang kampanya laban sa sakit na kumikitil sa maraming buhay taon-taon.

 

Ayon kay Lana Cristina Salma-Fuentes, ang coordinator sa Camarines Norte ng National Tuberculosis Control Program, layon ng pamahalaan na tuluyang tuldukan ang pagkalat ng tuberculosis sa pamamagitan ng tamang gamutan.

 

Kamakailan lang ay nagsanay ang tatlong pangkat ng mga Barangay Health Workers at nabuo sila bilang TB Task Force.

 

Ang TB Task Force na binuo sa pangunguna ng non-government organization na World Vision ay magsasagawa ng adbokasiya sa tamang paglaban sa TB.

 

Ang bayan ng Jose Panganiban ang prayoridad ng TB Task Force.


Batay sa datos ng World Health Organization (WHO), pangalawa ang sakit na TB sa Human Immunodeficiency Virus-Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (HIV/AIDS) na pumapatay sa milyon-milyong katao bawat taon.

 

Sa pinakabagong datos ng WHO, sa taong 2012 umabot sa 8.6 milyon na katao ang nagkasakit ng TB sa buong mundo at 1.3 milyon dito ang namatay. (ROV/PIA5-Camarines Norte/EAD)
