2 dambuhalang parol sa Camarines Sur iniukol sa ASEAN 50; mga lungsod ng Iriga at Naga lumahok sa landmark lighting

LUNGSOD NG NAGA, Agosto 9 (PIA)—Nakiisa ang mga lungsod ng Naga at Iriga sa lalawigan ng Camarines Sur sa pagdiriwang ng Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) sa ika-50 taon na anibersaryo nito kahapon, Agosto 8.

 

Masayang nakiisa sa ASEAN 2017 Landmark Lighting ang mga kawani ng mga lokal na pamahalaan ng Naga at Iriga kasama ang mga kinatawan ng ahensiya ng gobyerno nasyonal, mga pribadong sektor at mag-aaral.

 

Nagliwanag ang ASEAN Lanterns sa Naga at Iriga kasabay ng pag-ilaw ng ASEAN Lanterns sa iba pang bahagi ng Pilipinas bandang alas 7 kagabi. Pitompu’t anim na local government units ang lumahok sa ASEAN Landmark Lighting.

 

Ang mga ASEAN Lantern sa Naga at Iriga City ay may diameter na 6 feet o 1.83 meters. Ang anyo nito ay bilog at naka disenyo ang dahon ng anahaw bilang national leaf, sampaguita ang national flower at vinta na simbolo ng tradisyonal na sailboat sa Mindanao.

 

Makikita ang mga parol sa Plaza Quince Martirez, Naga City at sa ceremonial grandstand  ng Iriga City.

 

Kakambal ng landmark lighting sa Iriga ang palatuntunan na idinaos pagkatapos ng ASEAN Parade sa mga pangunahing kalye ng Iriga City bandang 5 ng hapon.

 

Nanguna sa bilang ng ipinadalang kalahok ang University of Saint Anthony  na pinasali ang kanyang  band and majorettes, Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges-Nabua Campus, mga pambulikong high school ng Iriga City, Iriga City Jaycees at mga empleyado ng Iriga City, Philippine National Police at Bureau of Fire and Protection.

 

Isinilaysay sa palatuntunan ang ASEAN history.  Sa Naga, tinampukan ang palatuntunan nito ng  ASEAN video presentation, Trivia Quiz, at community singing ng ASEAN theme song. (DCA/PIA5-Camarines Sur)
