Health exec sa Bikol nagbabala laban sa dengue

LUNGSOD NG NAGA, Hulyo 11 (PIA)—Nananawagan ang Naga City Health Office (NCHO) ng mas mahigpit na pagbabantay at pagtutulungan ng lahat ng sektor upang masugpo ang inaasahang pagtaas ng kaso ng dengue dahilan sa nagsimula na ang tag-ulan.   

 

Sa pulong na ipinatawag ng NCHO, hiniling nito sa health workers sa 27 barangay ng Naga na maging masigasig sa pagpapabatid at pagpapaalala sa publiko na posibleng dumami naman ang magkasakit sa dengue dahil tag-ulan na.

 

Ayon kay Naga City Health Officer Butch Borja, kailangan ang balikatan sa komunidad para maalis ang mga stagnant na tubig lalo na sa mga palayok, drums at iba pang naimbak na tubig sa mga tahanan.

 

Sinabi ni Borja na sa unang anim na buwan ng taong 2017 ay halos 170 kaso na ang naitala sa lungsod. Katumbas ito ng 140 porsyentong pagtaas ng kaso kumpara sa taong 2016 na 71 lamang an naitala.

 

Karamihan sa mga kaso ay nagmula sa mga barangay ng Concepcion Pequeña, Concepcion Grande, Cararayan at Calauag.

 

Pinayuhan din ni Borja ang mga residente na palagiang maglinis at tigilan ang paggamit ng plorera na maaaring pamahayan ng lamok.

 

Kung hindi ito maiiwasan ay ugaliin na lamang aniya ang regular na pagpalit ng tubig sa mga lalagyan. (DCA/PIA5-Camarines Sur)
