Turismong magiliw sa mga may kapansanan, isinusulong sa lungsod sa Bicol

LUNGSOD NG NAGA, Hulyo 10 (PIA)—Sa katuwirang dapat pagkalooban ang persons with disabilities (PWDs) ng sapat na tulong upang tamasahin din nila ang mga tanawin at tunog kagaya ng ordinaryong turista, nagtambal ang Department of Tourism (DOT) at National Council on Disability Affairs (NCDA) para bigyan ng seminar ang mga taong may interes sa turismo sa lungsod na ito hinggil sa tamang pag-asikaso sa PWDs.

Ginanap ang “Seminar on How to Handle Persons with Disabilities in Tourism Industry” sa Avenue Plaza Hotel, Naga City.

 

Itinuro sa tourism stakeholders ang tamang pag-asikaso sa mga turistang may kapansanan lalo na yaong pumapasok sa hotel at restaurant.

Nais ng DOT at NCDA na ipaunawa sa lahat na ang turismo ay para sa lahat at walang maiiwanan.

 

Ayon sa information, education and communication chief Rizalino R. Sanchez ng NCDA, magiging PWD-friendly ang hotels at restaurants sa pamamagitan ng pagturo sa service crews at iba pang frontliners nila sa tamang pakikitungo sa customers na may kapansanan.

 

Ibat-iba umano ang kailangan ng mga may kapansanan sa mobility, hearing at visual.

 

Kabilang sa mga binanggit na halimbawa ang pakikipag-usap ng hotel o restaurant crews sa may hearing impairment. Ayon sa resource speaker, dapat gumamit ng sign language o bigyan ng isang papel ang PWD para maihayag nila ang kanilang iniisip.

 

Ipinaliwanag din sa seminar na ang turismo ay para sa lahat. Ang konsepto nito ay matiyak na ang mga lugar, produkto at serbisyo ay maaaring makamit ano man ang kalagayan ng turista.
