CAFGU sa Rehiyon Bicol nagdiriwang ng ika-66th na Founding Anniversary

LUNGSOD NG NAGA, Abr. 11 (PIA) --- Masayang ipinagdiriwang ng Citizen Armed Force Geographical Unit (CAFGU) ang ika-66th na anibersaryo ng pagkakatatag ng 22nd Valor Battalion sa rehiyon Bicol.

 

Sa pamagitan ng mga aktibidad na isinagawa gaya ng Fun Shoot, Sports Fest at iba pang kasiyahan ang linahukan ng mga sundalo at pamilya nito na ginanap sa kampo ng 22nd Valor Battalion sa barangay Caroyroyan, Pili, Camarines Sur.

 

Samantala, inihayag ni 22nd Valor Battalion Commander Col. Joselito Pastrana, malaki ang papel ng CAFGU sa operasyon ng Philippine Army, dahil sila ay karagdagang puwersa at katuwang ng Philippine Army.

 

Sinabi ni Pastrana na aabot sa 4,000 na miyembro ng CAFGU sa buong rehiyon na nakatalaga sa halos 100 na detachment. Taon-taon ay nagkakaroon ng training para sa mga gustong pumasok na maging sundalo.

 

Sa kasalukuyan ay may 1000 na bagong recruit ang 22nd IB (Valor) na nagsasanay sa kanilang kampo. Sa loob ng 40 days ang isinasagawang training para maging regular na enlisted men at kapag na kompleto ang kanilang mga resikitos.

 

Noong nakaraang linggo ay ipinagdiriwang din ang 120th Founding Anniversary ng Philippine Army na ginanap sa SM City Naga.

 

Ang okasyon ay pinangunahan ni Brig. Gen. Claudio L. Yucot , Commander ng 901st Infantry Brigade na siyang representante ni 9th ID Commander Maj. Gen. Manolito P. Orense.

 

Ayon kay Yucot, malaking pasasalamat niya sa mga ninunong sundalo na nagbuwis ng buhay at nagsakripisyo para sa kalayaan na tinatamasa natin hanggang sa kasalukoyan.

 

Nagkaroon din ng ibat-ibang programa na nagbigay ng aliw at kasiyahan s alahat na manunuod tulad ng live band, dance presentations, concert band, duet singing at martial arts exhibition.

 

Nagpakita naman ng gilas ang mga sundalo sa kanilang Squad Kinetic Display at display ng mga sasakyan na Armored vehicle at K9 Dog Display, Photo exhibit, Recruitment Booth at kasabay nito ang pamimigay ng 9ID Army Transformation leaflets. (DCA-PIA5/Camarines Sur)
