Tagalog news: Brgy Anti-Drug Abuse Council sa OrMin, magsasanay

LUNGSOD NG CALAPAN, Oriental Mindoro, Mar 6 (PIA) – Upang mas maging epektibo ang kampanya laban sa illegal na droga, nais palakasin ng pamahalaang lokal ang pagpapatupad ng Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council (BADAC) sa pamamagitan ng Capability Enhancement Program sa lungsod na sinimulan noong nakaraang buwan ng Pebrero 2017.

 

Ang enhancement program ng BADAC ay may layuning mabigyan ng sapat na kaalaman tungkol sa kumposisyon, tungkulin, at responsibilidad ang mga opisyal ng barangay ukol sa gagampanan nila sa usaping drug abuse, tungo sa ikaaayos ng kani-kanilang komunidad. Nasa mga barangay ang “first line of defense” kaya ang mga pamunuan nito ang dapat manguna sa pagsugpo ng pag-abuso sa bawal na gamot.

 

Binigyang diin rin ang kahalagahan ng pamilya, pagpapamulat ng iba’t ibang core values at tamang parental guidance para mapigilan ang mga kabataan sa paggamit ng mga illegal na droga.

 

Ang programa ay magkakatuwang na pinangangasiwaan nina City Local Government Operations Officer Maria Victoria J. del Rosario ng Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Police Superintendent Jonathan P. Paguio ng Philippine National Police (PNP), Association of Barangay Captain (ABC) President Hector Africa, Sto. Duterte issued Executive Order No. 25 (E.O. 25) which effectively changed the name “Benham Rise” to “Philippine Rise.”   The Philippine Rise is an undersea feature, east of Luzon island.
