Tagalog news: Palawan, isinusulong sa Kongreso na maging Tourism Capital ng Pilipinas

PUERTO PRINCESA, Palawan, Agosto 8 (PIA) --- Isinusulong ng tatlong kinatawan ng Palawan sa Kongreso ang House Bill No. 4273 o ang pagdi-deklara ng lalawigan ng Palawan bilang ‘Tourism Capital’ ng Pilipinas.

 

Ang nasabing panukalang batas ay iniakda nina 1st District Representative Franz Josef George E. Alvarez, 2nd District Representative Frederick F. Abueg at 3rd District representative Cong. Gil P. Acosta, Sr. 

 

Suportado naman ito ng Sangguniang Panlalawigan ng Palawan sa pamamagitan ng resolusyon ng ipinasa nito lamang araw ng Martes na iniakda ni 3rd District Board Member Albert G. Rama.
 

Ayon kay Board Member Rama, dahil sa mga karangalan at pagkilala na nakamit ng lalawigan tulad na lamang ng pagiging Best Island in the World, World Best Friendliest Island, at Last Ecological Frontier ng Pilipinas, idagdag pa dito ang bukod-tangi at likas na ganda ng lalawigan na may lawak na 14,650 square kilometers at tahanan ng mahigit na isang milyong populasyon na bibubuo ng nasa walumpu’t-pitong (87) cultural groups na humahabi sa mayamang kultura ng bawat komunidad ng lalawigan ay karapat-dapat lamang na kilalaning ‘Tourism Capital’ ng Pilipinas ang Palawan.

 

Kaugnay nito,patuloy na hinihikayat ng mga mambabatas ang mga lokal na residente na tulungan at suportahan ang magagandang programa at proyekto ng  pamahalaan upang mas lalo pang lumago ang industriya ng turismo sa Palawan nang sa gayon ay makaakit pa ng mas maraming mamaumuhunan na maglagak ng negosyo sa  lalawigan upang makapagbigay ng oportunidad sa trabaho  at patuloy na mapaunlad ang lokal na ekonomiya.
