Tagalog news: LGU-Palawan, target na masungkit muli ang Seal of Good Local Governance

PUERTO PRINCESA, Palawan, Mayo 15 (PIA) --- Target ng pamahalaang panlalawigan ng Palawan na muling masungkit ang Seal of Good Local Governance Award sa ikatlong pagkakataon.

 

Dahil ditto, ay sunod-sunod ang isinagawang pagpupulong ng Technical Working Group (TWG) ng Department of the Interior and Local Government-Seal of Good Local Governance (DILG-SGLG) ng probinsiya bilang paghahanda sa kinakailangang ipatupad ng pamahalaang panlalawigan upang muling makamit ang nasabing pagkilala.

 

Sa pinakahuling pagpupulong na ginanap kamakailan, ibinahagi ni Cynthia Padua Noveno ng DILG Palawan sa mga miyembro ng TWG ang ilan sa mga panuntunan ng DILG upang maging kwalipikado ang isang Local Government Unit (LGU) sa 2017 Search for Seal of Good Local Governance.

 

Samantala, ayon naman kay Provincial Administrator Atty. Joshua Bolusa, kaakibat ng paggawad ng SGLG sa Palawan nitong nakalipas na 2015 at 2016 ang pagbigay sa Pamahalaang Panlalawigan ng Performance Challenge Fund (PCF) na siya namang nakatulong upang makamit ng lalawigan ang ilang proyektong nasyunal tulad ng Salintubig at programa sa Bottoms-up-Budgeting.

 

Tumanggap din ng gantimpala ang lalawigan na nagkakahalaga ng P500 milyon na inilaan ng Pamahalaang Panlalawigan sa mga proyektong kalsada na ipinatupad naman ng Department of Budget and Management at ng DILG.

 

Ani Atty. Bolusa, base sa patakaran ay mas madadagdagan pa ang mga benepisyong makakamit ng lalawigan kung muli nitong makakamit ang parangal na SGLG ngayong taon. Kung kaya’t inaasahan niyang higit pang magsusumikap ang pamahalaang panlalawigan sa pagpapatupad ng mga magagandang proyekto at programa para muli makapasa sa pagtatasa ng DILG.
