Tagalog news: DSWD, naglaan ng P81M para sa Sustainable Livelihood Program sa Batangas

LUNGSOD NG BATANGAS, Agosto 9 (PIA) --Inihayag ng Department of Social Wefare and Development (DSWD) sa isinagawang 1st Batangas Convergence Congress sa Provincial Auditurium noong Hulyo 14 na naglaan sila  ng umaabot sa halagang  mahigit P81M para sa Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) sa Batangas.

 

Sa kongreso na may temang “Handog na Kakayahan, Hanapbuhay na Pangmatagalan” binigyan ng pagkakataon ang mga benepisaryo na pumili mula sa 148 iba’t-ibang uri ng training programs na magagamit nila upang magkaron ng pagkikitaan o hanapbuhay.

 

Sinabi ni DSWD National Director for Sustainable Development Amada Fornadas na dapat samantalahin ng mga Batangueno ang pagkakataong ito, ang tulong na idinudulog ng tanggapan at pag-aralang mabuti kung paano mapapatakbo at mapapalago ang negosyong sisimulan.

 

“Ito po ang kauna-unahang partnership sa pagitan ng pamahalaang nasyunal at lokal dahil naniniwala kami na ang mga Batangueno ay malaki ang kakayahan para dito. Maging modelo sana ito ng pagtutulungan sa pagitan ng magkabilang panig sa ibang mga lalawigan,” ani Fornadas.

 

Nagpahayag naman ng pasasalamat si DSWD Regional Director Leticia Diokno sa inisyatibo ng local na pamahalaan para maisulong ang ganitong programa sa lalawigan.

 

Sa ilalim ng programa, makikinabang ang mga ksapi ng 4Ps at maging ang mga mahihirap na pamilya sa 30 local government units ng lalawigan na kabahagi sa Listahanan ng tanggapan. Sasailalim sa pagsasanay ng mga TESDA accredited training and service providers ang mga benepisaryo bago ipamahagi sa kanila ang mga kagamitan paea livelihood project na kanilang napili.

 

Walang anumang pera ang ipagkakaloob sa mga benepisaryo bagkus ay mga kagamitan sa napiling proyekto ang ibibigay sa kanila.

 

Hangad ng programa na maihanda ang mga benepisaryo upang hindi lamang magkaroon ng kaalaman kundi magkaroon ng pangmatagalang hanapbuhay.

 

Isasagawa naman ng mga municipal at city social welfare offices ang pagmomonitor sa mga benepisaryo upang masiguro na napalago at napakinabangan nila ang naturang programa upang maitaas ang antas ng kanilang pamumuhay at mga pamilya. (BHABY P. DE CASTRO-PIA BATANGAS)
