Brigada Eskwela, umarangkada sa Batangas

ROSARIO, BATANGAS, Mayo 19 (PIA)- Umarangkada ang Brigada Eskwela sa lahat ng pampublikong paaralan sa lalawigan ng Batangas.

Ito ay taunang isinusulong ng Department of Education kung saan ipinapakita nito ang bayanihan sa pagitan ng mga magulang, guro at opisyal ng paaralan, mag-aaral at iba pang volunteers.

Layon ng gawaing ito na maihanda ang mga gusali at kagamitan sa mga paaralan bilang paghahanda din sa pagdating ng pasukan sa buwan ng Hunyo.

Sa panayam kay Gng. Margarita Silva, Principal II ng San Ignacio Elementary School dahilan sa konsepto ng bayanihan maging ang funding requirements upang maitaguyod ang Brigada Eskwela ay ginagawan nila ng paraan sa pamamagitan ng mga donations ng mga stakeholders.

“Ang pamahalaang lokal ng Rosario ay nagkaloob ng halagang P10k na pintura at kagamitan tulad ng brush at varnish, may ipinagkaloob din ang Provincial School Board (PSB) na 11 galon ng pintura. Ang iba naming mga konsehal at stakeholders ay nagbibigay ng pa-isa isang gallon o kaya ay nagpe-pledge ng mga cash donations na minsan ay siya naming ginagamit upang ibili ng ibang pangangailangan o kaya ay konting meryenda para sa mga tumutulong sa paglilinis.”, dagdag ni Silva.

 Sa pagsusumikap ng mga guro sa naturang paaralan ay unti-unti natutugunan ang mga pangangailangan ng mga mag-aaral. Taon-taon ay nagpapalit sila ng chairmanship para sa Brigada Eskwela upang bigyang pagkakataon ang lahat ng guro na maranasang manguna kaugnay ng naturang programa.

Samantala, sinabi ni Silva na may ilang mga silid-aralan sa kanilang paaralan ang declared na “condemned” na at kahit nais nilang ipaayos ito ay hindi nila magawa dahilan sa kakulangan ng pondo.

Bagama't ini-report na nila ang tungkol dito ay hindi ito mabigyan ng funding requirement dahil may kinakailangang bilang din ng mga mag-aaral sa isang paaralan upang mauna sa pagpopondo . Ang mga nasabing gusali ay malaki na ang sira sa kisame at bubong lalo na at ito ay naitayo pa noong Marcos administration.

Inaasahan ng pamunuan ng naturang paaralan na sa mga susunod na taon ay mas madami pang stakeholders ang makibahagi sa Brigada Eskwela sapagkat iisang layunin lamang ang nais nila, ang maisaayos at mapabuti ang bahay kaaalaman ng mga mag-aaral. (GG/BHABY P. DE CASTRO, PIA-BATANGAS)
