Dialogue to strengthen coalition of Cavite LGUs and NGAs set

TRECE MARTIRES, Cavite, July 17 (PIA) -- The provincial government of Cavite will hold a day-long forum that will gather Cavite provincial department planners, city and local government heads and representatives from the national government agencies on Tuesday, July 18 here in the city.

The forum dubbed as “Alliance Building Dialogue” aims to forge partnerships among all stakeholders to achieve good governance especially among local government units (LGUs).

Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG-Cavite) provincial director Allan Benitez, reveals that they expect more than 100 participants with 20 representatives from national government agencies (NGAs) to provide inputs related to their agencies’ programs, projects and activities that can be committed to the agenda and priorities of provincial, city and municipal chief executives.

He said that “the dialogue would be an opportunity for all national government agencies (NGAs) to inform and /or commit to provincial, city and municipal officials-attendees their parallel programs and projects vis-a-vis LGU agenda and priority thrusts,”.

Benitez also shared that the alliance building dialogue was conceived by DILG IV-A management in the Calabarzon region which groups the provinces of Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon that entails good management of resources in the province to avoid duplication of some projects during the local government officials’ incumbency.

Governor Remulla was invited to attend the gathering among provincial planners and implementing agencies to be able to collaborate with them his programs and projects for the province for the continuance of his administration’s thrust to “sustain a first class, world-class province renowned for its glorious history, empowered by a God-centered and environment friendly people and governed by principled and dynamic leaders”.
