PHO, Luzon Health to conduct sustainability planning workshop

TRECE MARTIRES, Cavite Apr. 20 (PIA) -- The Provincial Health Office (PHO) in cooperation with Luzon Health (Integrated Maternal, Neonatal, Child Health and Nutrition/Family Planning Regional Project in Luzon) will conduct a 2-day province-wide Sustainability Workshop on April 25 and 26.

The event which will be held at the Bayleaf Hotel in Barangay Manggahan, Gen. Trias City aims to review the four-year implementation of the project in the province and to create plans with the Department of Health Region Office IV-A, PHO, City/Municipal Health Office Staff (C/MHOS), hospitals, and the Department of Education for the sustainability Family Planning/Maternal Neonatal Child Health Nutrition (FP/MNCHN) activities supported and initiated by the project.

The said project has a five-year term that began on 2013 which was initiated by the United States for International Development’s (USAID) health service strengthening project implemented by Research Triangle Institute (RTI).

After four years of implementation, the project will soon come to a close with most of its field activities completed by the middle of this year and begin a process of gradual exit

All component local government units, concerned agencies and other stakeholders who worked actively in the implementation and scaling-up of various high-impact FP/MNCHN interventions are expected to participate in the said workshop. (GG/Ruel Francisco, PIA-Cavite)
