Malawakang paglilinis ng Lawa ng Sampaloc sa lunsod ng San Pablo isasagawa

LUNGSOD NG SAN PABLO, Laguna, Marso 20 (PIA) – Magsasagawa ng malawakang paglilinis ng Lawa ng Sampaloc sa lungsod na ito ang iba’t-ibang  grupong pansibiko, mga pribadong samahan at mga mamamayan sa hangaring maisalba ang pamosong “Pitong Lawa”  sa pagkasira at mapangalagaan ang lawa bilang isang mahalagang pagkukunan ng likas na tubig.

Pinasimulan ni Punong Lungsod Loreto Amante ang sama-samang inisyatibo na tinaguriang “ Lawa ng Sampalok, Mahal Ko! San Pableno Ako!" at hinikayat ang mga nagmamalasakit na mamamayan at mga samahan para sa gawaing ito.

Sa ngayon, ang paligid ng Lawa ng Sampaloc ang siyang lugar na tirahan ng mga informal settlers sa ilalim ng programang  ‘Core Shelter Assistance’ ng pamahalaang lunsod. Sumailalim ang mga ito sa mga oryentasyon na nauukol sa kapaligiran ng lawa at sa patuloy na pagpapa-unlad nito bilang mahalagang pagkukunan ng kanilang pagkakakitaan. (CIO/ACO)
