Benham Rise sa Aurora, patuloy na binabantayan ng NOLCOM

CASIGURAN, Aurora, Mayo 16 (PIA) – Patuloy ang ginagawang pagpapatrolya ng Northern Luzon Command o NOLCOM sa Benham Rise, na malapit sa mga lalawigan ng Aurora at Isabela.

Ito ang tiniyak ng hepe ng NOLCOM na si Lt. Gen. Romeo Tanalgo kasabay ng pagsasagawa nila ng “Balikatan” sa bayan ng Casiguran nito lamang Lunes.

Aniya, gamit ang lahat ng kanilang mga kagamitang panghimpapawid at pandagat, mahigpit nilang binabantayan ang Benham Rise para sa anumang banta o aktibidad ng mga dayuhan.

Kaugnay nito, iniulat ni Tanalgo na sa kasalukuyan ay wala silang nakikitang mga sasakyang pandagat ng mga Tsino sa paligid.

Inanunsyo rin niya na bukod sa pagpapatrolya, magsasagawa rin ng malakihang aktibidad ang NOLCOM sa nasabing lugar sa Hunyo.

Ang “Balikatan” ay bahagi ng pagsasanay na ginagawa ng US at Philippine Naval upang isaayos ang mga nasalanta ng bagyo sa Barangay Dibacong. (CLJD/JSL-PIA 3)
