BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, Feb. 13 (PIA) – The provincial board here has urged barangay officials in the province to conduct public consultations on proposed poultry and piggery businesses to safeguard the environment and health of villagers.
Board member Victor Gines, liga ng mga barangay president, said this was embodied in a resolution passed by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan to prevent erring poultry and piggery operators from continuing their business operations.
“This will draw immediat actions to address the violations of poultry and piggery operators and ensuring the safety of the community from the threats of air poluution and diseases,” he said.
Gines also said the resolution will guide barangay oficials in issuing barangay business clearance and permits to compliant business operators.
The resolution was proposed to address the growing complaints of affected villagers against the operation of increasing poultry and piggery businesses in various barangys of the province. (ALM/BME/PIA 2-Nueva Vizcaya)
