CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela, March 9 (PIA) – The Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) here, in partnership with the Biodiversity & Watersheds Improve for Stronger Economy & Ecosystem Resilience (B+WISER), conducted an education campaign on wildlife conservation to the youth here.
Racquel Caldez, information officer of PENRO – Isabela, said in observance of the World Wildlife Day last March 3, the PENRO and B+WISER, including the CENR offices of Isabela conducted lectures and distributed information materials about the protection of wildlife.
She said at least 200 grade school pupils from Montessori Education Center of Asia Pacific in this city participated during the lecture facilitated by experts from PENRO and B+WISER.
Caldez said the pupils should give importance on wildlife and shape demand reduction strategies to curb illegal wildlife trade.
She urged the young ones to dedicate their lives to be personal ambassadors in securing the future. (ALM/MGE/PIA-2/Isabela)
