CABARROGUIS, Quirino, August 4 (PIA) - - A total of 237 indigent families, pregnant women, senior citizens, persons with disabilities recently received rice and other goods from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) through its Kalinga Project conducted at the provincial gymnasium.
According to Lenore Lee Lopez, supervising trade and industry specialist, the project which is now on its second wave is being initiated by the DTI here, in partnership with the provincial government.
Dubbed as 'Kalinga sa mga Katutubo ng Nagtipunant', the project was launched last year and it initially benefited the Agta schoolchildren in Nagtipunan.
Lopez said the project is now part of the DTI's organizational culture in promoting teamwork and camaraderie through a meaningful activity that strengthens the organization’s bond with the community specially with the indigenous and marginalized sectors in the province. (ALM/TCB/PIA 2-Quirino)
