OCD,PDRRMO to conduct basic ICS training

CABARROGUIS, Quirino, March 20 (PIA)--The Office of the Civil Defense (OCD) through the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office here will conduct a three- day Basic Incident Command System Training for the members of the PDRRMC on March 20-22, 2017 at the Waterworld Grand Resort in Ramon town.
PDRRMC Chairman Governor Junie E. Cua said the training is aimed at providing operational guidance to the Council as mandated under Rule 7(a) of Republic Act 10121.
Some 37 representatives from the member agencies have been identied as participants to the said training.
The training will be funded under the Local Disaster Risk Reduction Management Fund. (ALM/TCB/PIA 2-Quirino)
President Duterte arrives in Russia for official visit
MOSCOW, Russia, May 24 -- President Rodrigo Roa Duterte arrived here on Monday, May 22, for a four-day official visit which aims to further strengthen bilateral relations with Russia.
The plane carrying President Duterte and his official delegation touched down at Vnukovo International Airport at 11:18 p.m. (Moscow time). Moscow is five hours behind Manila.

DPWH to complete P114-M bypass road project in Iloilo this year
MANILA, May 24 -- A new by-pass road would soon be serviceable to lessen the traffic congestion within the highly urbanized roads of Iloilo City, providing more convenient trip for local residents and tourists.
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Regional Office 6 is presently undertaking the construction of four lanes Nabitasan – San Rafael Bypass Road in the amount of P114.461-million to shorten the travel time from Iloilo City downtown area to Benigno S. Aquino, Jr. Avenue by ten (10) to fifteen (15) minutes.

"No helmet, no travel policy" strictly implemented in Catanduanes town
VIRAC, Catanduanes, May 22 (PIA) -- The Philippine National Police (PNP) San Andres has since within this month strictly enforced the “No Helmet, No Travel” policy in the municipality to prevent serious head injuries and worst, death among riders of motorcycles in time of accidents.
