4Ps grantees train on food safety, good housekeeping

CABARROGUIS, Quirino, March 15 (PIA) - - The Department of Trade and Industry, through the Negosyo Center in Diffun recently conducted a two-day training on food safety for the beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps).


In partnership with the Department of Social Welfare Development (DSWD), the training was attended by at least 31 beneficiaries of Diffun.


Godfrey Bariuan, DTI-SMERA counsellor who served as the resource person discussed topics on Food Safety and 5s of Good Housekeeping as well as Customer Relationship Management.


The training modules aimed to capacitate the beneficiaries with additional tools to help them improve and sustain their business enterprise on food service (catering) and become more competitive.  


Lenore Lopez of the DTI said the seminar was a result of the intensive promotional activities undertaken by Diffun Negosyo Center coordinator  Karen Grace I. Garcia on the services provided by the Center.


"Negosyo Centers provide information and services on training, financing, marketing and other consultancy and technical services to facilitate the growth of MSMEs and spur economic growth in the countryside ," Lopez said. (ALM/TCB/PIA 2-Quirino)
