DOST launches one-store hub in Quirino

CABARROGUIS, Quirino, June 9 (PIA) - -The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) launched the first one store hub in the province  at MRB Rice Mill, Aurora East, Diffun.

 

The launching was supported by  DOST Provincial Director Lucio Calimag, Regional Director Sancho Mabborang,  Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development (PCIERD) Executive Director Carlos Primo David and other DOST regional and provincial staff.

 

Calimag said the one store hub is an online platform with onestore.ph as  online address which was designed to provide worldwide marketing of the  DOST-assisted MSMEs products via internet.

 

Through the online marketing platform, MSME owners can upload and sell their products in which the transaction of customers’ orders is accessible 24/7 and the delivery is done through Air21 with minimum transport charge of P150.00 per deal.

 

“Our 63 DOST-assisted MSMEs are already registered in the said online store and we are in the process of uploading their products,” Gammad said adding that as of this writing, the online market of the MRB’s brown rice has reached as far as Hong Kong already.

 

Also, he said the famous fossilized flowers, furniture products, nutria-chips, veggie noodles and handicrafts are in demand nowadays. There are also online customers who are asking for the Q-tea but unfortunately, it is not yet offered to online shoppers due to the limited stocks caused by the increase of bulk of orders from pasalubong centers and individual customers.

 

Gammad has  advised the MSMEs to bring their products to the one store hub which is also envisioned to become a convenient store for tourists and travelers. (ALM/TCB/PIA-2 Quirino)
