315 magsasaka sa lungsod ng Tarlac, tumanggap ng mung beans mula sa DA at OCA

LUNGSOD NG TARLAC, Marso 20 (PIA) -- May 315 magsasaka mula sa 32 barangay sa lungsod ng Tarlac ang tumanggap kamakailan ng Mung bean (Monggo) mula sa Department of Agriculture o DA at Office of the City Agriculturist o OCA.


Ayon kay OCA Head Susan Concepcion, bawat magsasaka ay nag-uwi ng sampung kilo ng mung bean.


Ito aniya ay parte ng High Value Commercial Development o HVCD Program na nakapokus sa produksyon ng prutas at gulay at naglalayong mapabuti pa ang estado ng lupa upang makadagdag sa kita ng ating mga magsasaka,


Sa ilalim ng HVCD program, plano ng DA na i-develop ang may 225 na ektarya ng lupa sa lungsod.


Samantala, ipinangako naman ni Mayor Cristy Angeles na susuportahan ng pamahalaang lungsod ang pangangailangan ng mga magsasaka.


Para sa taong ito, may 3,000 kilo na ng mung seed ang naibigay ng DA sa OCA. (CLJD/TJBM-PIA 3)
