Monkayo opens info kiosk

MONKAYO, Compostela Valley, July 16 (PIA) - - The Philippine Information Agency XI and the municipal government of Monkayo will launch on Monday (July 17) a PIA Info Kiosk at the municipal hall lobby in Monkayo town.

 

PIA XI Regional Director Efren Elbanbuena and Monkayo Mayor Ramil Gentugaya are expected to launch the kiosk at around 1:30PM.

 

The kiosk features information materials about the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) as the Philippines chair the regional bloc.

 

Other information education and communication materials elaborate the programs and advocacies of national government agencies.

 

After the launching, a multi-sectoral forum on ASEAN will be conducted at the municipal hall, in which around 100 participants are invited to attend.

 

The forum will be highlighted by talks from the PIA XI and the Department of Trade and Industry on the overview of the ASEAN and the its three pillars – economic, socio-cultural and political-security.

 

LTC Ismael Mandanas, Jr., commander of the 25th Infantry Battalion, will also give updates on the Martial Law implementation in the municipality. (PIA11, Michael Uy)
