MANILA, May 15 (PIA) -- Six officials of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) assigned in the central and regional offices have recently been promoted as full-fledged Director III.

Among the newly appointed officials who will assume the Director III posts are Juan Jovian E. Ingeniero of DILG-National Capital Region, Victoria H. Ramos of DILG-Region 1, Odilon M. Pasaraba of DILG-Region 2, Araceli A. San Jose of DILG-Region 3, Karl Caesar R. Rimando of DILG-Region 4B and Dennis D. Villasenor of the Bureau of Local Government Development of the DILG-Central Office.

The officers were notified of their appointment through a letter from Pres. Rodrigo Duterte and took their oath before DILG Officer-in-Charge Catalino S. Cuy last week. Cuy said the appointments of the DILG officials is very timely as the Department is counting on the support of its officials in ensuring that the programs and projects of the Department are effectively carried out at the local level.

"Congratulations to our new Assistant Directors and Assistant Regional Directors! I trust that you will continue to serve the Department with utmost integrity, credibility and professionalism as they assume much bigger tasks and responsibilities in the DILG," he said.

For his part, Villasenor said that he vows to perform beyond what is expected of him as he carries on to fulfill his duties as a public servant working for the realization of DILG's vision.

"It will just be the same committed service that I render day in and day out. This blessing and responsibility will keep me motivated to be a contributor towards the achievement of DILG's mandate," he remarked.

On the other hand, Ramos, who started as a Local Government Officer in 1985 and slowly worked her way up, is a proof that hard work and dedication towards your craft really pays off.

"You really have to work hard for your goals. Keep in mind that you must always be in sync with your organization’s vision and work hard to fulfill such objective," she said. (DILG/RJB/JCP/PIA-NCR)
