Chairmanship ng Pinas sa ASEAN 2017, tatalakayin sa 'Kapihan sa PIA' bukas, Agosto 9

LUNGSOD NG SORSOGON, Agusto 8 (PIA)—Isang pribilehiyo sa Pilipinas ang pangunahan ang Asean sa milestone year nito—ang 50th anniversary ng pagkakatatag ng regional association.


Noong Aug. 8, 1967, o limampung taon ang nakalipas ngayong araw, inilatag ng founding fathers ng Asean ang pondasyon ng isang samahan na nakaangkla sa kahalagahan ng pagkakaisa at pagtutulungan.

Bakit kaya ipinagdiriwang sa Pilipinas ang mahalagang kaganapang ito at ang bansa ay nakikiisa duon sa mga nakikibahagi sa iisang pangarap at pagsisikap at pagsubok.


Ipapaliwanag ang lahat ng ito sa ‘Kapihan sa PIA’ na gaganapin bukas, Agosto 9, sa Ameilianum College sa lungsod ng Sorsogon.


Layon ng Kapihan na matalakay at magpalitan ng kuro-kuro sa isyu ng Asean integration.


Pangunahing partisipante sa forum ang ilang benipisyaryo ng Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program ng Department of Social Welfare and Development, kinatawan ng persons with disability, small and medium enterprises, general parent teacher association president at Junior High School.


Inaasahan din ang pagdalo ng PIA focal person sa ASEAN advocacy upang talakayin ang benepisyo ng ASEAN chairmanship ng Pilipinas at kung ano ang kahulugan nito sa mga Sorsoganon.(FB Tumalad/PIA 5-Sorsogon
