Muntinlupa distributes of free school uniforms, supplies

MUNTINLUPA CITY , May 16 (PIA)--City Administrator Engr. Allan Cachuela led the distribution of free school uniforms and school supplies to public elementary pupils during the launch of 2017 Brigada Eskwela on Monday.

Cachuela said the assistance aims to lighten the financial loads parents during the opening of classes and to inspire students to study well.

According to the City Administrator, every beneficiary will be receive notebooks, pencils, bags, writing pads.

He added the free uniforms are locally made by the Muntinlupa City Technical Institute.

The city government of Muntinlupa  together with the members of private sector and the Philippine Army participated in the Brigada Eskwela, which will run until May 20, by cleaning 27 public schools. The local government also provided cleaning materials.

Cachuela bared that Mayor Jaime Fresnedi will continue the expanded scholarship program which serves almost 50,000 scholars who also receive quarterly allowances. (Muntinlupa PIO/RJB/MAPA/PIA-NCR)
