QC allows Smart to put up Ugong Norte Cellsite
QUEZON CITY, May 16 (PIA)--The Quezon City Council has issued a special use permit allowing telecommunications giant Smart to install a cellsite tower in a subdivision within the posh barangay of Ugong Norte.
“The petitioner has complied with the requirements for its application for the issuance of a Special Use Permit and that the Sangguniang Barangay Ugong Norte and residents of Arcadia Subdivision interposed no objection,” city resolution 7068-2017 read.
The issuance of the Special use Permit is in compliance with the provisions of Article VII, Section 50 of the City Ordinance 2200-2013 otherwise known as the Quezon City Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance and its Implementing Rules and Regulations that is required for the construction and installation of the cellsite tower project. President Duterte arrives in Russia for official visit
MOSCOW, Russia, May 24 -- President Rodrigo Roa Duterte arrived here on Monday, May 22, for a four-day official visit which aims to further strengthen bilateral relations with Russia.
The plane carrying President Duterte and his official delegation touched down at Vnukovo International Airport at 11:18 p.m. (Moscow time). Moscow is five hours behind Manila.

MANILA, May 24 -- A new by-pass road would soon be serviceable to lessen the traffic congestion within the highly urbanized roads of Iloilo City, providing more convenient trip for local residents and tourists.
