Bagong Exit ng NLEX sa Lingunan, inialay sa 148 Taon ni Gob. Pio Valenzuela

LUNGSOD NG MALOLOS, Hulyo 18 (PIA) -- Inialay ng North Luzon Expressway o NLEX Corporation ang bagong bukas na exit nito sa Lingunan sa ika-148 birth anniversary ng dating Gobernador ng Bulacan na si Pio Valenzuela.

Bago maging Gobernador, nakasama siya nina Andres Bonifacio at Emilio Jacinto sa pagtatatag ng Katipunan.

Iniatang sa kanya ang pagsusulat at paglalabas sa Ang Kalayaan na opisyal at bukod tanging tagalog na pahayagan ng Katipunan.

Sa mga batayang pangkasaysayang sinabi ni Alex Balagtas, ang hepe ng Bulacan-Zambales Cluster ng National Historical Commission of the Philippines sa kanyang pamumuno sa Kapitolyo nagsimulang pumasok ang iba’t ibang industriya sa Bulacan.

Ayon kay NLEX Corporation President Rodrigo Franco, ang pagbubukas ng Lingunan ay bahagi ng tatlong bagong exits na binuksan sa NLEX ngayong taon sa halagang 31.5 milyong piso.

Kabilang dito ang kabubukas na exits sa Pandayan na nasa southbound lane ng NLEX sa bahagi ng Meycauayan at sa Libtong na nasa northbound lane naman sa nasabing lungsod.

Layunin nito na paluwagin ang daloy ng trapiko sa mga major exits ng NLEX sa Meycauayan at Valenzuela na dating bahagi ng Bulacan.

Kasunod ng pagbubutas ng panibagong lagusan mula NLEX sa Lingunan, nakatakdang buksan ngayong kalagitnaan ng taon ang mas pinalaking exit sa Meycauayan Interchange.

Ginastusan ng NLEX Corporation ng 18.1 milyong piso ang pagpapalaki ng nasabing tollgate.

Iniurong ang bagong istraktura ng tollgate papasok sa NLEX upang hindi maapektuhan ng paghaba ng pila ang trapik sa Malhacan-Camalig-Bahay Pari Road. (CLJD/SFV-PIA 3)
