NorthCot LGU gathers over 1,000 child development workers

KIDAPAWAN CITY, North Cotabato, Aug. 9 (PIA)--- A total of 1,150 child development workers (CWDs) were gathered by the provincial government here in a recent two-day gathering in honor of their efforts in serving the children of North Cotabato.

 

The Child Development Workers Summit 2017 was spearheaded by the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office of the provincial government under its Serbisyong Totoo advocacy.

 

Different activities such as contests on dart, volleyball, and parlor games were enjoyed by the CDWs. Also, competitions dubbed as Child Development Workers Got Talent and Queen of CDW were participated by the workers.

 

Governor Emmylou Mendoza who graced the event thanked the CWDs for their contribution in molding the young children into better individuals.

 

The local chief executive emphasized that the two-day event was realized as way of rewarding the CWDs for their commitment to serve.

 

Aside from the Children Development Workers, the provincial government is also conducting events in recognizing the efforts of different development frontliners such as the Barangay Nutrition Scholars and Barangay Health Workers.
