Tagalog News: Magpet, N. Cotabato isinailalim sa state of calamity

MAGPET, North Cotabato, Abr. 18 (PIA)--- Isinailalim ngayong araw sa state of calamity ang bayan matapos ang sunod- sunod na pang-aatake ng rebeldeng New People’s Army.

 

Ayon kay Magpet vice- mayor Rogelio Marañon, gagamitin ang 30 porsiyento ng Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management fund sa gagawing relief distribution at medical outreach sa humigit- kumulang 60 mga pamilyang naapektuhan partikular sa Barangay Mahongkog.

 

Dagdag pa ng opisyal, gagamitin din ang pondo sa pagsasagawa ng stress debriefing at pamamahagi ng bigas.

 

Binigyang- diin ni Marañon na agad na ihahatid ang mga tulong sa sandaling makakuha ng clearance ang Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council sa mga militar.

 

Matatandaang noong Abril a- nueve, kinuhanan ng mga baril ang mga opisyal at mga miyembro ng Barangay Peace- keeping Action Team ng Barangay Mahongkog. Sinundan naman ito ng bakbakan sa pagitan ng militar at New People’s Army sa Barangay Balete.

 

Ang engkwentro ay nagresulta sa pagkamatay ng isa katao sa hanay ng militar habang dalawa naman sa hanay ng rebeldeng grupo. (SJDuerme-PIA12)
