Mga bingot sa Antipolo, muling nabiyayaan ng libreng operasyon

LUNGSOD NG ANTIPOLO, Rizal, Marso 16 (PIA) --May 41 na bata at matanda na may bingot ang masaya ng makakangiti matapos sumailalim sa libreng operasyon mula sa Antipolo City Government, katuwang ang Philippine Band of Mercy, sa isinagawang Joint Cleft Care Surgical Program noong Pebrero 25, 2017 na ginanap sa Antipolo City Hospital System - Annex I. Nabigyan rin ng mga libreng gamot ang mga pasyente at libreng admittance din sa nasabing ospital ng dalawang araw.


“Napakasarap pong masdan na ang ating mga kapatid na may bingot ay nakakangiti na at nakakapagsalita na ng walang sakit na nararamdaman. Masakit at mahirap po ang magkaroon ng bingot at magastos ang magpa-opera nito. Kaya nagpapasalamat po tayo sa Philippine Band of Mercy sa patuloy na pakikipagtulungan sa pamahalaang lungsod na mabigyan ng pag-asa at magandang kinabukasan ang ating mga pasyente na hindi na kailangan pang maglabas ng pera,” sabi ni Antipolo City Mayor Jun Ynares.


Taon-taon nagsasagawa ng ganitong programa ang pamahalaang lokal simula pa noong 2014. Nakatulong na ito sa 450 na bata at matanda na ang naibalik ang kompiyansa sa sarili. 


Unang yugto pa lamang ito ng programa dahil magkakaroon ulit ng 2nd screening sa Agosto 2 at operasyon sa Agosto 29 ngayong taon. (PIA-Rizal/ N. Leyva, Antipolo PIO)
