Tagalog news: PopCom, binisita ang naitalang “100 millionth Filipino baby” sa Romblon

SAN AGUSTIN, Romblon, Agosto 9 (PIA) --- Ang mga kinatawan ng Commission on Population (PopCom) mula sa Regional Office ay bumisita kahapon sa batang naitala bilang “100 millionth Filipino baby” sa lalawigan ng Romblon.

Si Lewis Miguel Magsino ay bunso sa apat na magkakapatid na ipinanganak ng hatinggabi noong ika-27 ng Hulyo 2014 sa Tablas Island District Hospital sa bayan ng San Agustin, Romblon.

Sa pagbisita ng PopCom kay Lewis Miguel Magsino na ngayo'y tatlong taong gulang na ay masaya nitong tinanggap ang mga regalong dala ng mga ito gaya ng sapatos, pagkain, gatas at bisekleta.

Ayon sa ina ni Lewis Miguel, sobrang saya at 'overwhelmed' siya dahil unexpected na mapabilang sa 100th millionth Filipino baby ng Pilipinas si Lewis Miguel at sa lahat ng mga anak niya ay dito siya nahirapan nang husto kung saan nag 50-50 siya sa panganganak at isang lingo pa siyang naratay sa ospital.

Sinabi naman ni Commission on Population Mimaropa Assistant Regional Director Marilyn F. Ogaya, na plano nilang i-monitor ang lahat ng napabilang sa 100th Million Baby Mark ng Pilipinas hanggang sa sila ay tumanda.

"We will visit them every now and then para mamonitor kasi we want them to be a responsible individual," ayon kay ARD Ogaya.

Hindi naman aniya laging may regalo silang maibibigay sa kanilang pagbisita sa mga ito pero patuloy pa rin nilang i-momonitor ang mga bata.

Ang pagmonitor aniya sa mga Symbolic Baby sa buong bansa ay bahagi ng Philippine Population Management Program (PPMP) ng Commission on Population.(PJF/DM/PIA-MIMAROPA/Romblon)
