Tagalog news: 153 engine water pumps, ipamamahagi ng DA sa lalawigan ng Romblon

ODIONGAN, Romblon, Mayo 15 (PIA) --- Ang Department of Agriculture (DA) ay mamahagi ng 153 engine water pumps sa mga grupo ng magsasaka sa 17 munisipyo sa lalawigan ng Romblon.

Ang naturang proyekto ay kinumpirma ni DA Mimaropa Assistant Regional Director Ronnie Panoy kung saan naglaan ang kanilang ahensiya ng halagang P1.5 milyon para sa proyektong ito.

Sinabi pa ni Panoy na ang programang ito naglalayong mapatubigan ang mga sakahan ng mga magbubukid sa bawat bayan upang mapalago ang mga pananim ng mga ito na kanilang pinagkukunan ng kabuhayan.

Ani Panoy, patuloy silang nagkakaloob ng mga makinarya at kagamitang pansakahan sa mga magbubukid upang mapaunlad ang idustriya ng agrikultura sa mga malalayong bayan.

Ang mga bayan ng Odiongan, Looc at Cajidiocan ay parehong nakatanggap ng tig-20 units ng engine water pumps at batay sa talaan ng naturang tanggapan ang mga bayan na nakatanggap din ng kahalintulad na kagamitan ay ang mga sumusunod: San Andres – 16 units water pumps, Santa Fe – 15 units water pumps, Magdiwang – 10, ang mga bayan ng Romblon, Calatrava, Ferrol, Alcantara, San Fernando, Sta. Maria ay nabigyan din ng tig - 5 yunit ng engine water pumps, samantalang tig-tatlong units naman ang mga bayan ng San Jose, Corcuera, Banton at Concepcion.

Nagpahatid naman ng pasasalamat ang tanggapan ni Governor Eduardo C. Firmalo sa DA Mimaropa sa malaking tulong nito sa lalawigan na kanyang pinamumunuan.(DM/PIA-MIMAROPA/Romblon)
