Tagalog news: Mga barkong patungong Batangas, sinigurong ligtas ng Coast Guard Romblon

ROMBLON, Romblon, Abril 20 (PIA) --- Kaugnay sa patuloy na pagpapatupad ng “Oplan Ligtas Biyahe,” tiniyak ng Philippine Coast Guard (PCG)-Romblon na ligtas at maginhawa ang biyahe ng mga barko paluwas ng kalakhang Luzon pagkatapos na gunitain ang Semana Santa ngayong taon.

Gaya ng inaasahan, dagsa na naman ang mga pasahero sa mga port terminal at daungan ng mga barko upang sumakay pabalik sa kamaynilaan matapos na magbakasyon noong nakaraang linggo sa kani-kanilang bayan sa Romblon.

Kapansin-pansin rin ang mahabang pila sa mga ticketing office ng mga kumpanya ng ferry boat at barkong rumuruta sa Romblon, Sibuyan at Tablas island para kumuha ng ticket papuntang Batangas port.

Tiniyak ng pamunuan ng PCG-Romblon na mahigpit silang nagbabantay sa mga pier upang maiwasan ang overloading sa mga barko dahil sapat naman ang bilang ng biyahe ng mga barko sa lalawigan kung kaya naiiwasan ang paglulan ng pasahero na lagpas sa kapasidad dahil halos araw-araw ay mayroong bumibiyahe kung kaya’t maisasakay ang lahat ng mga ito.

Ayon pa sa Phil. Coast Guard-Romblon, halos taun-taon ay nakapagtatala sila ng mahigit 3,000 pasahero na sumakay paluwas ng Batangas sa mga pangunahing pantalan gaya ng Poctoy Port, Romblon Port at Cajidiocan Port pagkatapos ng Mahal na Araw.

Mahigpit din nilang minamatyagan ang sitwasyon  sa iba pang maliliit na pantalan na matatagpuan sa island municipalities kung saan ang mga pasahero sa lugar na ito ay sumasakay lamang sa pampasaherong bangka o pumpboat.

Apat na shipping lines ang nag-ooperate sa lalawigan Romblon na kinabibilangan ng Navios Shipping Lines, 2Go Travel, Montenegro Shipping Lines at Starlite Reliance.

Ipinaalala rin ng pamunuan ng Coast Guard sa publiko na maaaring dumulog sa kanilang tanggapan at mga sub-station na nasa daungan kapag nangangailangan ng serbisyo o kung mayroong idudulog na reklamo.(DM/PIA-MIMAROPA/Romblon)

Help pours for Diki fire victims in Isabela City
