Tagalog News: Skills upgrading program para sa tourism service frontliners, isinagawa ng DOT 12 sa Tacurong City

TACURONG CITY, Sultan Kudarat Aug. 9 (PIA) – Kasabay ng paglago ng industriya ng turismo sa Rehiyon Dose, tinututukan ngayon ng Department of Tourism (DOT) SOCCSKSARGEN ang pag-upgrade ng mga skills ng mga service frontliners ng mga establisimentong accredited ng ahensiya sa Tacurong City at lalawigan ng Sultan Kudarat  .

 

Sa unang skills training program, na isinagawa ng ahensiya, mahigit 30 na mga frontliner mula sa 13 na mga hotel at restaurant na nasa Tacurong City at mga kalapit-bayan ng Isulan, President Quirino, Esperanza at Bagumbayan, ang sumabak sa tatlong araw na pagsasanay.

 

Sa pakikipagtulungan ng mga proponents at Tacurong City Tourism Office, ang training na isinagawa sa Edjin Hotel sa lungsod  “ay naglalayong maiangat ang kakayahan ng mga nagtatrabaho sa industriya ng turismo upang mas maging kaayaaya ang kanilang serbisyo sa mga turista.  at maging dahilan na rin upang patuloy na tangkilikin ang ating mga destinasyon at serbisyo,” ayon kay city tourism officer Emelie Jamorabon.

 

Sinabi naman ni DOT 12 Regional Director Nelly Nita Dillera, na mahigit P5 milyon  ang gugugulin ng Department of Tourism dito sa SOCCSKSARGEN Region para sa mga skills training ng mga tourism service providers.  Ang mga trainings ay gagawin sa nalalabing buwan ngayong  taong 2017.

 

Kabilang sa mga training programs na ibinigay sa mga partisipante ng mga batikang resource speakers, HRM mentors, consultants ng mga malalaking hotel sa Lungsod ng Davao at Heneral Santos ay ang Front Office & Reception, Customer Relations, Restaurant Services, Food Preparation, Sanitation & Preparation, Events Management, Incentivized Functions, Business Planning, Experiential Tours , Community-Based Tourism, Community Culinary, Managing Tourism Establishments, tour packaging, at iba pa.

 

Tatanggap ng accreditation ang mga establisimento mula DOT 12 at kaukulang NC II Certificates para sa mga frontliners, pagkatapos ng nasabing pagsasanay. (ACAgad-PIA 12 with report from KElijay-DOT 12)
