Filipino News: 2nd Treasure of Sox 2017 pinaghahandaan ng DOT 12

KORONADAL CITY, South Cotabato, Mar 15 (PIA) – Puspusan ang ginagawang paghahanda para sa darating na 2nd Treasure of SOX: Travel & Trade Expo ngayong taon. Ito ay pinangungunahan ng Department of Tourism (DOT) 12 sa pakikipagtulungan ng iba’t ibang ahensya ng gobyerno at mga pamahalaang lokal ng SOCCSKSARGEN.


Gaganapin ang nasabing aktibidad sa darating na ika-tatlo hanggang ika-pito ng Abril sa Glorietta Mall, Makati City kung saan tampok sa exhibit, fashion shows at cultural performances ang iba’t ibang produkto ng SOCCKSARGEN.


Ayon kay DOT 12, Regional Director Nelly Dillera, ang 2017 Treasure of SOX: Travel & Trade Expo ay hindi lamang naglalayong palakasin ang sector ng turismo sa rehiyon kundi para na rin makatulong sa pag-angat ng ekonomiya ng  SOCCSKSARGEN, kahit pa “isa rin itong ambisyosong pagtatanghal ng mga produkto ng rehiyon,” pahayag ni Dillera.


Tinatayang aabot sa P3.1 milyon ang gastusing para sa paghahanda kabilang dito ang 21 na mga booths at special setting para sa mga produktong SOCCSKSARGEN. Ang pondo ay pag-aambagan ng DOT 12, mga LGUs ng rehiyon 12 at iba’t ibang ahensya ng gobyerno. (YSubiya/ACAgad PIA 12)

President Duterte issues E.O. 25, renames 'Benham Rise' to 'Philippine Rise'

Duterte issued Executive Order No. 25 (E.O. 25) which effectively changed the name “Benham Rise” to “Philippine Rise.”   The Philippine Rise is an undersea feature, east of Luzon island.
