53 bags of blood collected in PNP-led blood donation

LAGAWE, Ifugao, Mar. 20 (PIA) - - Fifty three bags of blood were extracted from police officers and students who volunteered to bleed to save lives.

Police Senior Inspector Pedro Tactay informed that the 26,500 cc were donated by IPPO personnel and Criminology interns from the Ifugao State University in support to the observance of Women’s Month.

Said bloodletting with the theme “Dugo Mo, Buhay Ko” held at the Ifugao Police Provincial Office (IPPO) on March 17 was sponsored by the IPPO in partnership with the Panopdopan District Hospital and Philippine Red Cross (PRC) in the province.

The PNP hopes the many individuals will be saved through the donated blood to be deposited at the PRC-Ifugao Chapter’s blood bank.

Tactay   attributed the success of the activity through the full cooperation of donors, partner agencies and support of IPPO family led by Provincial Director Senior Superintendent Constancio Chinayog, Jr. (JDP/MBL- PIA CAR, Ifugao)
