Kidapawan City’s Timpupo fest begins on Saturday

KIDAPAWAN CITY, North Cotabato, Aug. 10 (PIA) --  City  Mayor Joseph Evangelista  invites the  public  to join the  festivities of the  Kasadya sa  Timpupo 2017  from August 12 to 20.

 

The city will also celebrate its  70th founding anniversary on August 18.

 

 

According to the City Information Office, the  Kasadya sa Timpupu 2017 will kick off on Saturday with  the Family Farm Day at the city gymnasium and the opening of the  Street Food Agri Trade and Fruit  Exhibit at the City Pavilion.

 

Highlights of the nine-day event include  Search for Bb. Kalikasan 2017 on August 16;  tribal  parade, tribal wedding, cultural show and horse fight on August 18;  hip hop  and dance sport competition on August 19  and  fun run and LGBT Day on August 20

 

Visitors  will also be entertained  by nightly  live band performances at the City Pavilion.

 

Complete list of  activities, time and  venue are posted in billboards in front of the City Hall and at Hi-Walk.

 

“Timpupo” is a Cebuano term for “harvest season.”
