Tagalog News:  5-Year Sports Development Program, inilunsad  sa Kidapawan City

LUNGSOD NG KIDAPAWAN, North Cotabato, Ago. 9 (PIA) – Kasabay ng  pagsagawa rito ng kauna-unahang Sports Summit, inilunsad ng pamahalaang panglungsod ng Kidapawan ang kanilang Five-Year Sports Development Program.


Ayon kay Mayor Joseph Evangelista,  layunin ng  5-Year Sports Development Program ang makapagtatag ng isang  programang  lilinang  sa mga atletang kakatawan sa lungsod  sa iba’t ibang sports competition.


Kabilang na rito ang  pagtatag ng isang training pool  na  tututok na  scientific training, nutristyon, uniporme at kagamitan, sports equipment ng mga atleta at pagsasanay ng mga  sports coaches.


Katuwang  ng  LGU Kidapawan sa  naturang programa ang  City Sports Development Council, Department of Education, Philippine Sports Commission,  mga sports club at  organization sa Kidapawan, mga pribadong paaralan  at marami pang iba.


Kaugnay rito sisimulan na sa  Setyembre  ang “Weekend Games”  kung saan pipiliin ang mga atletang maaring isama sa  sports development program.  Ang  “Weekend Games”  ay gaganapin sa Setyembre 8, 9, 16 at 23  sa iba’t ibang sports venue sa lungsod. (DEDoguiles-PIA 12)
