Tagalog News:  Paggamit ng Tnalak bilang  pundasyon ng pagdiriwang, pinuri  ni Sen. Angara

LUNGSOD NG KORONADAL CITY, South Cotabato, Hulyo 14 (PIA) – Pinuri  ni Senator  Sonny Angara  ang  South Cotabato  sa paggamit  ng  Tnalak bilang simbolo ng  taunang kapiyestahan ng lalawigan. 

 

Panauhing pandangal  si Senator Angara sa  opisyal na pagbubukas ng  18th Tnalak Festival at 51st Foundation Anniversary ng  South Cotabato, Huwebes, Hulyo 13.

 

Sa kanyang talumpati, binigyang-diin ng  senador ang kakaibang pagdiriwang  ng lalawigan na  sa  halip ng nakasanayang nakabatay  sa relihiyon, ay nakatuon ito sa  isang telang  sumisimbolo sa isang  kultura.

 

Kinuwento niya na isang pagdiriwang ng National Heritage Month noong 2014,  itinampok ang  T’nalak na gawa ng  mga Tboli at  doon niya nalaman na  ang  telang  gawa ng mga  Tboli ay nakakarating na sa  ibang bansa tulad ng  Amerika at Europa  hindi lamang para gawing  damit  kundi pati  na rin sa paggawa ng  mga  furniture.

 

Aniya, angkop lamang  and pagpangalan ng  kapiyestahan ng  South Cotabato  sa Tnalak  dahil  patunay ito  na  “world class” ang  gawang  Pilipino, ang  gawang  South Cotabato at  ang gawang Mindanao. 

 

Halimbawa ang  Tnalak na kaya ng Pilipino na  magtagumpay sa  buong mundo, dagdag pa ni Senator Angara.

 

Ang telang  Tnalak  ay hinahabi ng  mga katutubong Tboli  mula  sa mga kinukulayang  mga hibla ng  abaca. Batay sa  tradisyon, ay inihahayag sa  tagahabi sa pamamagitan  ng panaginip, kung kaya’t tinatawag  na “dreamweavers” ang  mga  tagahabi ng  Tnalak.

 

Ito rin ang naging batayan para tawagin ang  South Cotabato na “Land of the Dreamweavers.” 

 

Sa ikatlong taon,  nakasentro ang  pagdiriwang ng Tnalak  Festival sa temang “Showing our Best to the World.” (DEDoguiles-PIA12)
