DAVAO CITY July 17 (PIA)- The Davao City Police Office has received 14 brand-new Toyota Hilux patrol vehicles from the City Government during turnover rites held today (July 17).

Police Senior Superintendent Alexander Tagum, chief of the DCPO said that the vehicles would be deployed to the city’s 12 police stations with one vehicle going to the Traffic Group and one to the City’s Public Safety Company.

He added the patrol vehicles is a push for the police force to do more and to perform better.

“Makaulaw kung di ta makapeform properly kay grabe na ang suporta sa atong city mayor.” (it will be embarrassing if we don’t perform properly for the city mayor is very supportive to us.) Tagum said.

Aside from the patrol vehicles, the city government is training and equipping an expanded Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) for the city.
