CAPITOL COMPOUND, Misamis Oriental, Aug. 11 -- The Provincial Government of Misamis Oriental, through Misamis Oriental Care System (MisOrCares) is taking the lead in assisting displaced individuals in Molugan, El Salvador City, after a fire gutted the municipal hall of the town and nearby offices early dawn, August 8.
MisOrCares Provincial Coordinator Maryden Ocot said they have sent sacks of rice to the municipality as its intervention to aid victims of a fire incident that authorities blamed it to the faulty electrical wiring.
The blaze, reportedly started at the stock room of the municipal hall, also devastated the Municipal Police Station, Post Office, Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR)-El Salvador office and partially damaged the Sangguniang Panlungsod office. It was declared under control at 2:05 a.m. The damage was estimated to P500, 000.
Governor Bambi Emano condoled with the family of Rene Fuentes of Molugan, El Salvador, for his untimely death due to the said incident. (PIO)
