CAPITOL COMPOUND, Misamis Oriental, Aug. 11 – In support to the government’s campaign against proliferation of illegal drugs in the communities, local chief executie in Misamis Oriental is encouraging political leaders in the province to submit themselves in while there is still time.

Governor Emano, over a radio interview, said past and incumbent public officials in Misamis Oriental who are in the narcotics list of President Rodrigo R. Duterte must be responsive to the call of making the Philippines a drug-free country.

Kini samtang aduna pay igo nga panahon aron sila makabag-o sa ilang mga kinabuhi (I personally asked those mayors and other leaders in the province who are possibly in the narco list of President Duterte to voluntary surrender themselves while there is time to change their lives),” the governor told a radio station.

Governor Emano admitted he has heard names to be involved in illegal drugs trade in the province, “but we cannot just simply name them because we have no enough bases to do such.”

Duterte called the mayors and governors, he strongly urged us to help him in his campaign against illegal drugs),” governor Emano said. (PIO)
