PIA9 to launch ASEAN info kiosks at Pagadian Airport, Gaisano Capital Mall

PAGADIAN CITY, May. 8 (PIA) - - The Philippine Information Agency will  launch the ASEAN 2017 Info Kiosk at Pagadian City Airport and Gaisano Capital Mall on Tuesday.

Regional Director Noemi B. Edaga said the kiosk launching is  part of the  information activities of PIA in promoting ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations)  and the Philippines’ hosting of the ASEAN Summit this year which coincides with its 50th anniversary celebration.

Edaga said the kiosks will showcase audio–visual presentation about ASEAN 2017 and other information, education and communication (IEC) materials from government agencies.

She said important information about ASEAN and government programs and services will be available to the people. Also available at the kiosks is President Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s “Mula Sa Masa, Para Sa Masa,” tabloid, she added.

In the afternoon, a multi-sectoral forum will be held at the Executive Building, City Hall Complex where 400 participants composed of barangay officials, businessmen, academe, women’s groups, farmers, fisherfolks, senior citizens, persons with disabilities, indigenous peoples  and the youth are expected to attend.

The kiosks will run until December, this year.

US Embassy, UP-IIS host ‘iftars’ in honor of Ramadan
