TAGBILARAN CITY, June 13 (PIA)--Gi-awhag sa Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) ang mga miyembro sa Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) nga gamiton ang bag-ong mobile application sa pagbayad og membership gamit ang ilang smartphones ug tablets.

Sa gipahigayong pagsaulog sa Adlaw sa Migranteng Manggagawa sa syudad sa Pasay niadtong Domingo, gipahibalo ni DOLE Kalihim Silvestre Bello III nga ang bag-ong mobile application sa OWWA nagtanyag og nagkalain-laing serbisyo nga mapahimoslan sa mga miyembro sa OWWA, ilabi na ang mga overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) nga walay oras sa pagbayad sa ilang membership fee.

Matud pa nga kinahanglan lamang mobayad ang mga aktibong miyembro sa OWWA og $25.00 membership fee matag duha  ka tuig aron padayon silang makadawat og mga benepisyo sama sa pautang, TESDA scholarship, pagbaton og livelihood ug entrepreneurship seminars ug reintegration programs alang sa mga mopauleng OFW.

Sa bag-ong OWWA mobile app, ang mga miyembro sa OWWA mahimong makakuha og impormasyon sa mga programa ug serbisyo sa OWWA sama sa disability, dismemberment, ug death benefits, seafarers upgrading program; skills for employment scholarship program; information technology training program; ug OFW Enterprise Development and Loan program.

Gawas sa pag-renew ug pagbayad sa membership fees kun walay buhatan sa OWWA kun asa silang nasod nag-trabaho, mahimo usab lantawon sa OFW ang ilang personal nga impormasyon gamit ang ilang mobile device, sama sa employment contract information, membership status, payment history ug member beneficiaries.

Makita usab sa application ang frequently asked questions (FAQs), OWWA hotline numbers, email address, ug regional office address.

Libreng ma-download sa aktibong miyembro sa OWWA ang mobile application sa ilang android device gamit ang Google Playstore.

May 10,000 download na ang mobile application sukad kini gilusad niadtong Mayo 2 sa gipahigayong ika-35 ka tuig nga anibersaryo sa OWWA. (ecb/PIA7-Bohol)
